Accommodation

Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel and accommodation.

Please note that accommodation in Lausanne and the surrounding area can be in high demand, particularly at the beginning of the academic year. We therefore strongly encourage participants to start their housing search as early as possible.

As an international participant at Campus Santé, you will not have priority access to accommodation managed by the FMEL (Fondation Maisons pour Étudiants Lausanne). However, you may submit an application directly through the FMEL website, under the same conditions and deadlines as all other students:

The websites below are frequently used by students searching for accommodation in Lausanne and the surrounding area. Availability, prices, and rental conditions are managed directly by the respective providers.

  • Facebook housing groups: private housing offers and sublets (search for "Lausanne Housing" or similar groups).
  • Roomea: rooms and shared accommodation.
  • Student Village Lausanne: student residence near Lausanne.
  • Classified advertisement websites:
  • https://www.anibis.ch/fr/c/immobilier-immobilier-locations: property and rental listings.
  • https://flatfox.ch/fr: Swiss apartment search platform.
  • https://www.petitesannonces.ch/: private rental advertisements.

Depending on the duration of your stay, participants may wish to consider shared apartments, student residences, temporary sublets, or short-term rentals.

Staying Safe When Looking for Accommodation

We encourage all participants to approach online listings with caution and to verify the legitimacy of offers before making any payment.

As a general rule, never transfer money before signing a contract, viewing the accommodation (in person or virtually), and confirming the identity of the landlord or agency.
